I have 3.55 Gears now and was considering moving up to 4.10 Gears. My car is a weeknd toy. Most of my driving is around back roads and to local shows or just messing around.

Any opinions or experience with 4.10 Gears?

5-SPD or Auto? My friend moved up from 3.55's to 3.73's and its one of the best choices he has made even though his car is a daily driver.

I hope the 4.10 are the right choice. I have only had the car on the highway once. The car is an 88Gt with only 17K original miles. The only original engine piece is the stock block and crank, everything else has been replced. I replaced everything because the car sat for a number of years in a collectors storage facility. Many of the seals were rotted. Fresh top end making about 350RWHP. Strickly a weekend/Show car.

That's awsome! I would like to see pictures. It's hard to find unmolested stangs with low miles. Everyone tells me I am nuts for driving mine. Hell, that's why I bought it, to drive it. Plus its not original any more, too many mods.

if you run 3.55's right now, you really won't notice too much of a difference by going to 3.73's. so yeah, get the 4.10's. personally, i'm trying to squeeze every little bit i can out of my car, that's why i decided to go with 4.30's. should be a big help for my 60 ft's. hopefully i'll have the time soon to put them in. cecil county opens in another month. can't wait.

yep, go with the 4:10's if it's not seeing alot of highway usage. I've got 4:56's and love them. my car only cruises around town and goes to the track, or maybe a few country road races. lol

I put the 4.10's in and man what a difference!!!!!! I wounder what 4.30's would do? The car is fine on the highway, turns about 3k in 5th doing about 75mph, not bad at all. Atleast I think so.

3000 is good. They sound good at cruise that high. Not a sluggish in 5th anymore is it.

I have 3.73s but I am going to 4.30s soon.
