how easy is it to swap out a set of gears? i have 2.8s and wanting some 3.0 or 3.5s. could someone walk me through it?

very basic.

remove rear wheels, remove drums, remove four bolts per axle and remove axles, remove drive shaft from axle yoke and slide out of trans, remove nuts from center section. center section and gear oil will now come out. I reccomend you have new gears setup by a profesional shop.

look into either a 3.25 or 3.40 gear.

look on Ebay. you can buy complete 3rm members with a LSD for around $400.

if i went with a LSD rear also that would make it better as well right?
