I have 3.73s on my auto and love them. I run 2800 RPM at 80mph on the highway with no issues.

pffftt, whiners. My 88 has no overdrive (C4), 3.73 gears and no lock up torque converter. At 70, I'm turning over 3500rpm. If I want to go 80, I'm turning over 4000.
Right now, I'm nearly out of gear by the end of the quarter. It's turning 6k when I cross the stripes and the rev limit is 6500.

weelll, i dunno..motives are notorious for whine. I mean, rumors like this don't just get around for no reason.. even on craigslist and stuff, the major selling point of the FRPP is 'does not whine'..i just don't trust motives. For one it's made in italy, is it not? ..i'd rather buy something with out a bad rep.

FRPP whine less because they are an easier install than other gear sets, and are generally (not always) more of a simple setup. Motive are tough, proven gears that have a good track record and only whine when the install is bad, just as FRPP gears will...

If you search the boards, you will find that the amount of threads about Motive gears whining is fairly equal to FRPP whining.

I'd buy Motives in a heartbeat. I almost got 3.90's but decided to go 4.10's last minute, which I now wish I wouldn't have done.
