get code without scanner on 99GT?

Is there a way to retrieve the code on a 99GT without a scanner..Some way to make the dash flash a certain # of times???

there are codes that will be present on the odometer. theres a procedure where you hold down the trip reset button for a number of seconds. however, those are not the ODB2 codes. part of OBD2 requieres that all codes can be pulled with a OBD2 certified scan tool. this is the same for every manufacturer.

just go to any major autoparts store, they will pull them for free

ya they pull codes. i actually think most of the tuner programmers pull codes.
