I got a free battery from discount auto hehe. My battery tipped over in my trunk and its been leaking out the top. So I whipped it off, told them it wasent charging and to check it, and they just gave me another one hehe.

I'm pretty much scarred from going to speedworld. The only time I went was with my 98 GT, I had no clue how anything worked. I don't even want to say what time I ran, but it was bad. Missed 2nd gear, didn't know which light to go on, etc.. I didn't drive through the burn out box though.

Am I the only one who has had an incredibly embarrasing first time at the drag strip? Surely someone else has screwed up

Depending on my work schedule I am gonna try to go on Sat.

Hell the last time I went to the track I ran a whopping 16.3 in my 88. I really though about just headin on out the gate. I was just slightly embarrassed.

First ever run I was 15 and had my dad in the car. Ran a 15.7 letting off well before the finish line. First time ever racing a stick I had never even driven one on the street (had only driven one maybe 2 times in the yard) and had to run my dads car. I did alright till I missed 4th, and going into 3rd the whole car went to the right (not only was I moving my right hand to shift I moved my left hand at the same time oops).

Other than that and some missed gears and pushing the car through the beams on the converter (second time ever racing alone) I have never done anything embarrasing. Had cars jump out hard and turn right toward the tree, had cars lose traction halfway down the track and head towards the wall, and some other scarier times, but never anything happened!

my first time wasn't too bad I guess, worst run was like a 16.xx cuz I just let off after I spun through 3rd...

best was a 14.8 and all of my runs were in the 14.8-15.1 range except above mentioned, hell first run ran a 15.0 with pacecar with me showing me the ropes... that sounded gay

I drive at the track like I do on the street, I had no problem going from street to track.
