My dad just emailed me some progress pictures of my car at the body shop. I'm so excited! The guy at the shop said he was gonna primer it tonight. I cant wait to see it when it's done! It's going to be Redfire Metallic and no more ricky racer stripes lol. Anyway, here some progress pictures.

Good start and I hope it turns out nice. Just a little advice: I can have all the window and door trim removed in less time it takes to mask it all off. It takes literally about 15 minutes, a screwdriver and a moulding clip to get them off. And when you paint them seperately and get them reinstalled, your end result is 100% better than the way you guys are doing it.

I'm sure it's still gonna be sweet when done, but you could have had it look cleaner with less work.

Gonna look awesome! Redfire is a great color, I painted my old '95 GT that color instead of repainting it Laser Red.

+1 on taking the moldings off, its almost a shame to paint a car an not take them off. It will literally take ten minutes to take the mirrors out, door belt molding off and a pillar molding off.

Inwas just wondering the other day what a red fire metallic fox would look like.

If in ever strip my car down and repaint it...I might go red fire. Can't wait to see final pics

well its hard as hell to get done right b/c you need to have a perfect 100% smooth body, but here is a pic of a 1989 saleen SSC on a forest road

The paint on that car doesn't look right for some reason.
It almost looks like they didn't remove the window trim before painting it. Lol

I agree and also will prevent the obvious tape lines that are going to be visible on the entire car.

congrats! paint looks like it was a quality job but this is also a good example why others said to pull the windows/trim. whatever works, but when i'm ready to get mine done that will be the route i go - full out.
