Getting Steering Rack Off

Putting some poly rack bushings on in the morning....

Besides the two smaller mounting bolts, do you need to take off the big black bolt
at the bottom of the steering column ??

Will it pull away far enough to get the bushings in without taking off the oil lines??

thanks...

Almost done with this suspension / steering stuff!! what a job!

If I remember right, no I did not have to remove the lines to change the bushings. The big black bolt you mentioned is not removed at all....there is a smaller bolt on the side of the steering column, about 6-8 inches from the rack, loosen the bolt...this allows the rack to slide down and seperate from the steering column.
