Getting tired of the Flows, alternatives?

I have flows and a ProChamber, they sound awesome especially the drone when crusing around in 1st/2nd gear, but inside w/the windows up they sound like crap IMO they are just way too deep esp. on the highway. Im cool now, but once I get gears i'm going to be right at around 2300 RPM and at that point they sound SO deep it gets kind of annoying.
The constant "humm" i get inside, no matter how much I get on it gets pretty old and dull, I'd like something a bit more agressive. What should I go with? I heard one Mustang once that sounded insane, it was throaty as hell and had this really loud "lope" at idle (not loud enough to be cams though), very unique sounding, deep enough to know it's a Stang but not TOO deep.... it actually sounded a lot like flows just not as deep and with a much louder and rythmic "lope", at wot it was completely different: very smooth and high pitched... almost sounded like a Ferrari with a Tubi exhaust. If I could find out what on earth that exhaust was i'd be very happy.
^ that's the tone i'm looking for, MustangExhaust clips are ok but do no justice at all to real life tone so it's hard to tell. I love the way my setup sounds on the outside, but inside it's just way too boring and drones too much. Recommend a mid-pipe/cat-back setup.

Toss the ProChamber and throw a Dr. Gas O/R X on it. It should give you the sound you are looking for. Good rumble at low rpm, higher pitch in the midrange and flat-out screams in the upper rpm.(Above 4k).

I had a Dr. Gas on mine for a while, but replaced it due to fitment issues(got it used for dirt cheap). When I get a chance, I'll probably put one back on my car because of the sound and power it makes.

(But for now I'm loving the O/R H and Flows)

Yeah ...Dr Gas X.

The sound is unique ...smooth, deep tone that really screams when you get on it. I can't even describe the sound it has when you hit 4,000 rpm+ ...its awesome.

Dr Gas and Flows is by far the best sounding combo I have ever heard. You can't appreciate it till you hear it first hand.

What is dr. gas exactly? just an offroad pipe?

Dr. Gas is an O/R X-pipe. It has to be welded together... comes in pieces.

My Magnaflows sound raspy as hell, and when you get on the gas all hell breaks loose, and I'm in a 'vert which makes the sound to my ears even more outragous. Me like.

Nah that Mustang I described was way too loud to be Magnaflows and a Magnaflow X.

i have a modified flowtech x pipe with flows, it sounds sick...

the droney hum you are getting is because of the midpipe forsure, not the muffs.. my car definately has a growl too it, hardly drones at all.. sounds beautiful

I think that sound you heard was Spintechs and an offroad pipe. Even with the factory cats Spintech ProStreets are just SICK ...louder than 2 chamber flows and a mean growl!!!!!!!

I second the Spintech Prostreets - I forever have strangers asking about my exhaust setup. However, they are extremely loud at WOT ... people usually hear me from about six blocks away Zero drone on the highway and surprisingly quiet when you want them to be.

VRS o/r x-pipe sounds great with it too its basically the same as a upr if only i had a nickle for every compliment i got on my exhaust.... unfortunitly im wanting something a little louder so im looking at either borla stingers or a bassini catback

UPR, SLP, Mustangtuning, and Flowtech all use a very similar X junction - and they all sound great with Flowmasters

BBK and Bassani use a different style and some people complain about rasp with these - but it is all opinion.
