So I need a new exstem pretty soon, and I could use some advice on what works best for you guys. I wanted to get a bassani system, but I can never find any pictures of what they look like and I sure as hell am not buying an exhaust system I have never seen.

Anyone have any advice on what I should get? What do you have on your stang, how does it sound, and what does it look like?

As far as mufflers go , flowmasters(with pipes) sound the coolest to me.

To start out, get Longtube headers. A system might sound real good with shorties, but not as good as with LT's.

H/X/ Pro-chamber, they all sound good in the right combo. O/R only, your car just won't sound that good through cats.

Mufflers, Flows are tried and true, but there are so many other options.

Well I have a set of flows now, which don't sound that bad, but they have a really bad drone at 2k rpms. Not only that they're ugly as sin.

Anyone have any experience with PYPES?

PYPES VIOLATORS FTW.

And I'm not just saying that either....

I'm in LOVE with the sound of your Notch. We were talking last night about the exhaust on my Capri, well, I've decided that when I DO get a new catback (Flowmaster ftl. Sounds decent but fits like ****) I definitely want what you have.

I've heard that pypes violator catback sounds good before, so I may give that a shot. Anyone have pics of what their pypes setup looks like?

advice... buy ur system in peices, its cheaper - i bought my tailpipes seperately from my mufflers and my h pipe, and my mid pipes - from the HEADS back, headers and all, i spent less money than buying a bassani system - i used flowmaster tail pipes and mid pipes, spintech prostreet mufflers, offroad H, and mac headers - and i did the math back when i remembered how much they all cost, and it came out less than a cat back -

I could repost pics of mine, but it's not a Pypes cat-back, per se. It's a Dynomax cat-back with the mufflers swapped out for the ORIGINAL design Pypes Violator mufflers (before they shortened them and made them in stainless - got 'em at WFC9 for $80 a pair). But then again, the look should be about the same, really, since they use stainless tailpipes, as well. Peek in My Garage, I think there's a couple of slightly larger pics in there...

I think I still have a video or two of my exhaust on my Myspace page, too. I need to get around to making/posting some new stuff, one of these days - video/audio of inside, outside, startup, idle, driveby, etc. ...

Well one of the things I'm worried about with the cat back systems I've seen is that none of them look like the polished tips go back far enough. I want to see nothing but a perfectly straight polished exhaust pipe coming back from from behind the tires. (just like the ones you have Darkwriter)

I don't want to end up with anything remotely close to my current pipes, which have 6in polished tips that look like *****. I'll edit and post a picture soon.

Okay so I just went to the store and back, and I officially HATE those tailpipes. One rattles against the gas tank or the bumper cover I'm not sure which, but it's annoying as hell.

Please someone give me a pic or two of their pypes exhaust so I can figure out which one to get and finally rid my mustang of this ugly (and noisy) freakin' exhaust!
