Glove box lock

I just swapped my glove box door and can't figure out how to swap the lock from my old door into the new door, anybody ever tackle this?

Look behind the knob/ between the knob and door face and you'll see a thin band/ strip of spring.

Take a dental type tool and press the band into/ towards the knob while gently pulling the knob.
