Does anyone else hate thier glove box? It's not very big and I'm always fighting to get it closed. I don't have that much stuff in there. I keep my owners manual in the pocket behind my passenger seat. The box sucks! Pearl02.

That's why they call it a Glove Box.

One would think that they would somehow coordinate the size of the glove box and the size of the owners manual.

You would think so. I have a pretty good size box in my Mazda B4000 pickup. It's full of stuff and I have no problems with it. Pearl02.

That's funny you brought that up. That's what happened to me yesterday. I thought to myself, "this glove box sucks". Pearl02.

The only things in mine are my 5 position switch for different tunes, and the cables to hook up my laptop.

My glove box will be broken soon enough. I always need about 5 attempts to close it before the Owner's manual is positioned perfect that it will close.

I got a carbon fiber aftermarket glove box. It's good for an extra 15 rwhp at least!

I have to keep the owners manual documentation in the center console. No hope at all of putting anything other than trinkets in that little glove box. So shallow and the lock/latch boss is so large...

And while we're griping...I'm so freakin' tired of my car's seatbelt retractors not pulling the belts back. What is it with the seatbelts in these cars? The "guide" on the seats has an incredibly poorly placed slot in the top side that the belt weasels through after 1.5 uses and the belt retractors are all but useless.

Ahhh...that felt good.

well here we go:
the seatbelts suck, i thought it was just mine it never fully retracts it pisses me off alot
the center console lock thingy is stupid also. all the time it gets stuck in the closed position when the door is open and i have to use my key to get it to work again
and the glove box is horrible. i can hardly fit my deposit slips for the bank in there and i dont even have an owners manual.
end, rant

Wow, It seems that fellow Stang owners are having the same problems sa me. The seat belt retractor is another problem. I've slammed the door closed on it many times. I try to check it before slamming the door on the belt. Haven't had any problems with the center console. Pearl02.

You don't have to "tuck" the manual's zipper case, by hand, past the latch's strike plate? I have to all the time, and that is the only way I can get it to close.
