In Jackson NJ CH AUTO 732-928-3713

They were the closest place that had a replacement hatch for my LX.

I figure I should get a few more things while I'm there.
I need Quad Shocks for example, mine leak. Is that a good junkyard part? Can't get them new can you?

I also wanted to get a drivers seat to replace mine with bad springs and a rip in the back cloth. A seat belt too. Map light. maybe even a mass air and computer to convert my speed density? Should I bother with that? (Runs pretty good as it is)

Opinions?

Good Luck on your search.

I just got back from the junkyard here in my neck of the woods. I found four foxes. Needless to say, all those that were 5.0s were missing the motor and tranny.

The only one that was completely untouched was the 2.3. , but, it did have the hatch that I was looking for. Only two small rust spots that I can easily sand by hand and prime coat. Expect to find more body parts than engine parts.

C&H has alot of stuff, but it's not as simple getting things there as going to a U-pick yard.

I only live about 2 miles from them. And have gotten tons of crap there. Prices are all over the board, one day something is $150, the next day it's $50, who the hell knows what's going on.

Kyb quad shocks are dirt cheap from summit.

And who knows if they will split up an engine to give the the MAF harness, likely you can have the computer though.

Sometimes i find it more of a hassle to get stuff there than a covienance.

Remember, they are a towing company, not a registered junk yard.
So anything you want, Call first and have them prepare it for you.

I called and they said they had hatches and I should come look at them. They didn't look it up so I would not be surprised to show up and fine NONE there.

They said it was all on a rack.

Why is it difficult to get some things...do you think they have seats, seatbelt etc?

Body parts, and interior stuff is pretty simple there, that stuff they do have.

Engine parts and suspension are a different story. They have it all, but getting off the cars is not as simple as showing up. There's alot of mustangs there, probably like 50 or so. quite a few 5.0 engines too.

Sounds good. I can forget the mass air as I don't have the mods which require it yet anyway. I can get new quad shocks from summit.

I'll look for the map light, seat, seatbelt and hatch

Thanks

I passed on the seat. But got a nice hatch for $125 and for another $25 I got a seatbelt (in blue!), speaker grills and map light that I have been searching for since 1990.
