OK, well here is the final verdict. (started a new thread cause the old one was dragged out) The '95 GT is set at 5800. Took it to a trusted shop and pulled 3 codes. One was a bad o2 sencor wich is making the CEL light come on and off now, two other previous codes were fuel pump relay dissconnect, and something about the ignition. I asked the man at the dealer and he said the fuel code was from when they installed a 'donut' in the tank so noone could siphen gas...??? Anyone heard of that? Anyway, the guy running the tests said the car looked well taken care of and stuff, still had origional plugs and wires  but besides that. The dealer is offering a 3yr 36k warrenty for 1k extra.. SO... thats 6800 for a 95 GT loaded, 5spd with 84k, bone stock with a 36k warrenty.. Should I keep looking?

Sounds good, except I would really READ the conditions set forth in the warrenty (I am assuming it is an aftermarket warrenty). I have had a few that when I needed it, they screwed me... and it was their right under the small print and stipulations in the contract. I canceled it right after. Good luck :nice: .

That sounds like a great price to me too. I would do it without the warrantee though. That $1k would go along on some parts or new shoes for it. That is not much miles on the car. If you get it and start taking good care of it, probably would last a long time just like it sits. Get it and buy parts or tools the grand.

If I could come to terms and sell my Jeep, then I would have the thousand to spare for a warrenty and performance parts, but I need the warrenty more right now cause if ANYTHING went wrong im sitting with a dead horse.. ...heh..heh... :damnit: but supposidly the warrenty is good for the engine, tranny, axles, seals and gaskets, steering, electrical, AC, suspension, part of the brakes and cooling. So I really want this car but im still in school and got the parting with the first car blues and im just hesitent to spend the money even though I can probaly make it back if I work alot. Hope i'm not getting too annoying.. but seriously thanks for every reply guys.

sounds like a good deal to me too. but i'd want them to replace the 02 and fix the causes of the other codes as part of the deal.

i'd go with the warranty. then you don't have as many worries. peace of mind is priceless.
