Roush Going rate for a tidy 1996 S281 ?

Guys,

a freind of mine is looking at buying '96-059, its a white GT, the only options taken were 3.55's and leather interior.A pparently it's very tidy and has 70,000 miles under it's belt.

Saleen prices over here are WAY different to what they are over there, people here don't even know what a Saleen is half the dang time...

I know I paid a lot (relatively) for my 96 but thats because i valued it for what it is, its history and its uber rareity (especially colour-wise). Most of the guys here wouldnt know a saleen if it bit them in the balls..

So.. back to the point.. What do you gys think the white Saleen is worth in the states? and also, what is it worth over a standard GT in the same condition?

yeah, maybe £8000...

but then..

shipping from there = £1000
import tax = 10%
customs frees = £200
then Value Added Tax = 17.5%
then registration and inspection = £350

so it turns in to a £10,500 96 s281.. which is about $20,000 !!!!!!

its the taxes that screw things up.... the import tax on anything commercial (like an f150 etc) is a STAGERING 40% !!!!!
