Going to Dyno for the 1st Time!

Dyno Results are in...

I am a bit dissapointed at the results, but hey, the car does have 100,000 miles on it. The graph was off by 100 on the printout for some reason, but the max power and max torque numbers are correct. I noticed that the Air/Fuel is quite lean....

JonJon u need drag radials man forget the t/b I wanna see ya gettin some traction up at capitol when i finally bring my beast out man! Oh and i was way off on the guess i guessed like 280 w/ the diablochip and if ur car was running lean then how come u didnt have them tune it to get a lil more fuel? Maybe it wouldve given u some more power

I have never been to the dyno and didn't know how lean it was running. I asked the people who were operating the dyno about it and they said that running the air/fuel richer would probably increase torque but probably decrease horsepower. Running lean creates more heat and is not as safe as a richer mixture. Torque requires more fuel. Leaner is "meaner" in relation to horsepower. BUT...I wonder if you get too lean if HP actually decreases?

I noticed that smoothing on the plot was set for 5... that can make the peak numbers more honest, but with smoothing off and a jagged plot, you could easily have a peak reading that's 3-5hp higher.
