I am a bit dissapointed at the results, but hey, the car does have 100,000 miles on it. The graph was off by 100 on the printout for some reason, but the max power and max torque numbers are correct. I noticed that the Air/Fuel is quite lean....

You are running dangerously lean dude...you will probably pick up quite a few ponies by adding some fuel into the equasion

It kinda pisses me off that all the mods we put on our cars, dont hardly do jack 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me' but take our money. Its kind of a bunch of crap. You dont have as much trouble as the 96-98 guys either.

Most mods. hp/tq. gains are overrated. Their overrating becomes a reality when you actually dyno the mods. yourself. There are not a whole lot of N/A proven mods. for our cars. If your staying N/A, there is some power to be had in the exhaust and stock computer programing. That's about it, all the other mods. provide small gains, if any.

If I bought a new GT today and knew I was going to stay N/A, but wanted the fastest N/A GT I could have, I would do the following:

4.10's
sticky tires
h or x pipe
straight-through mufflers (weld-in or replace CB)
K&N stock replacment filter
aggressive dyno tune for optimum WOT timing and a/f

That's the receipe for a quick N/A GT. Nothing else is needed. You will see between 250-260 rwhp. with those mods. The gears and the sticky tires will just enhance your power.

Don't know if this helps, but my dyno tune moved my a/f ration from 11:1 to 13:1. Looks like you are running 14:1. You may some a few more hp./tq. if you richened the mixture a bit. I'm not an expert on tuning though.

I am going to the dyno next weekend. I have spent quite a few dollars on bolt on's and I am a bit nervous about what the results might be. Does anybody know about what I should put down with my current mods?

Thanks!

Did you add your TB/plenum before or after you already had your car dyno tuned?

If you added the TB/plenum after your car was already tuned, it may the cause for your leaner a/f ratio. I don't see why your tuner would have intentionally made your a/f ratio 14:1. Maybe it was like 13ish and the TB/plenum made it 14.

I know you didn't buy the C&L, but considering the C&L plenum accomplishes the same function as the Accufab, this is worth mentioning. I spoke directly with Lee Bender at C&L and he told me to expect a leaner a/f ratio after installing his product. He said to expect between 0.3:1 - 0.5:1 leaner on any N/A application.

I was unhappy with my numbers, but after seeing what another 2000 GT put down with more mods than mine, I guess mine is about right.

Nice #'s Sleeper . Now strap a full exhaust on that bad boy and have at it
Ill have my #'s up after March 24th or 25th once my L/T's and mid go on. Ill have STD and SAE #'s for everyone.
Man I cant wait for that RUMBLE!!!!
Back on topic, those #'s are low to me even if they are SAE #'s. Id definately go with a good tune and see what is going on. Granted its an older motor, but it should drop that much in power should it? If so then go with what the above said... NEW FORGED MOTOR !!!

Thanks. SAE is better for comparision purposes. Do a search on it.

Your sig. didn't say you had a tune. 260 makes more sense with a tune. The only difference between your car and mine is your TB/plenum. I still have the stock one. Maybe that's why you are pushing 10 more rwhp. than my car? I'd like to to think so.

I added the plenum after the tune. I have contacted the company that programmed the chip. I sent them a copy of the dyno results. Hopefully they can get the air/fuel ratio in a safe range and maybe even increase my numbers a bit. When it is done, I'll dyno again and post the results.

Yea a-hole you could invite someone to go with you next time. Any reason you went to Charlotte as oppsed to Turbo Tune in G-boro. I may have a new toy I want to take when you go again. It does appear to be lean...

I would bet there are a few more poines are to be had.
