going to the track!?!

hey, i went to the track yesterday and it was really fun to watch. i would like to try one day but im not much into gettin on my car. i baby the thing like you could never imagine but i would still like to try it one day. what RPM should i shift at? and what do you think i would run? i have a 99 standard. thanks

i would imagine redline right? lol
i havent had a real good area to do that in in a while, anytime i gets on teh freeway, there is some slow l0sar in front of me, by slow i mean i dont have the chance to floor it all ze vay... i think its better that i dont anyway... for my health and all those around me, will go to track s00n!?

harz he seems not to know how to orate as good az i d00z

btw shift at about 4.5k anything more then that on our cars is just wasting time and wearng out the motor

When the car stops pulling, you should have shifted. You want to shift just when you hit the apex of the power bandf. After a few practices, you'll get a good feel fo rwhen to shift.

for 99 shift at 5250 1st-2nd 5350-5400 2nd-3rd(help over the hump in 3rd) and 5250 3rd-4th any more you are wasting your time.

expect to run very horrible times.... and you should be able to do 2.1-2.2 60ft and every .1 off your 60ft is .2 off your quarter/8th mile times so... when you run that 17 sec see what the 60ft is and do a little math~ until you get some experience your times are gonna be rather bad probably.
