going wireless

ok, i dont want to put a changer up front and stuff so i thought abuot putting it in the trunk and letting it broadcast over the FM radio. what makes this able to do it?

It's called an FM modulator. It's not exactly a "wireless" solution, but it will allow you to play CDs through a preset FM station.

There are changers made specifically for this. They use FM modulators to broadcast the music at a particular frequency. Keep in mind that most will still have a wired remote to control the changer itself (changing tracks and discs, etc).

Pioneer makes a 6 disc, model CDX-FM687 or a 12 disc, model CDX-FM1287 as well as a 12 disc, CDX-FM1279, which is their Premier model.

Alpine has a 6 disc, CHM-S665RF.

Other companies make them as well...usually Best Buy or Circuit City will have some models available, as would any decent stereo shop.

the remote isnt wireless?

Yes, the remote is wireless (infrared). There will be a small display that shows track/disc info, and that has the infrared receiver you will point the remote at.
