Well after all the threads I have read between here and Corral, I'm gonna try the Fox TB Conversion 1st hand. X2C claims that with a blower 40hp and 1-3#'s of boost pickup. The kit came with a new FOX Accufab TB, EGR Elim, TPS, IAC, Throttle Cable, 3" Discharge, and new silicone sleeves.
I know it will definetly clean the look of the bay up, and I'm excited to see if the power gains are as advertised. I could have done it much cheaper piecing the kit through a salvage yard, but with the TB, custom in-house discharge, new TPS and IAC I was willing to spend the money. The kit was 499$

I'm mainly excited about my new discharge because it is a much "straighter" shot to the intake if you will, it comes powder coated. I'm also going with T-Bolts clamps this time because I'm shooting for 15-17#'s.

I'll let you guys know the power gains, and take many pics and post them.

Chris

I've had some of the typical 94-95 probs. with the throttle hanging, I hear that with the fox cars it isn't as common. I also know I've been wanting a Accufab TB for my 95 for awhile but they discontinued them or what ever, they are about as good as it gets in the TB dept in my eyes. So I'm hoping throttle response is better and most of all NO hanging throttle.

Wow, that's expensive for a TB conversion, but I guess it might be worth it if it did produce the advertised gains with a blower and you needed a new TB anyway...probably not worth it for the N/A guys.

Accufab TB's are great, but I'm happy with my Ford Racing 65mm unit. No sticking unlike a lot of the BBK's I've read about.

Yeah the FRPP one is a nice unit I hear, but I don't think they make them in 70-75mm which is the size I'm running.
Yeah I'm with you about the N/A thing, if I didn't have a blower I prob. wouldn't do the swap.

Ill be interested in the results chris.

Just FYI for others reading this.. You can get the throttle cable, sensors, and bracket from a junkyard. Any 5.0 with the TB on the passenger side will work. Then just get a FOX tb..

Yeah it's pretty easy to get the parts, just blower guys would have to fab up a discharge which isn't that big a deal.

I wonder if all Accufab TB's are polished, now that I think of it all the ones I have seen in person where.
Dunno if the one I'm getting is?

I believe so

I am going to do the TB swap soon.

I would love to be able to do a before and after dyno for all you guys to test the difference but I just dont think I will have the funds

I know a back to back dyno would be beneficial to all the n/a guys and maybe help solve a missing power issue with the 94-95

from what i hear, fox cars with a typical H/C/I install dynos just over 300hp, where as ours usually get just under 300hp. and the only thing that is different is the TB, so i would guess thats the culprit. eades, take some pics before u install of all the parts please.

Don't forget about the different computers. In stock form, our computers are supposed to be a little less forgiving.

dyno would better than track times

track times are skewed by weather and driver and variables

I am consistant, but the texas weather sure isnt

Is there a need to clock the blower, or can it just stay in it's place?
