What’s the most eye-appealing battery to stick under the hood these days?

I need a new battery and want one that actually looks decent. Thought about having some classic motorcraft labels made but there has to be some options worth looking into for something with a bit of visual appeal.

There's also this stupid thing. https://www.americanmuscle.com/savi...yEJHeFBoVWIWCpbKZVxoCSBwQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds just in case your 275 dollar battery didn't cost enough lol

Get an interestate at costco.
They don't test for a replacement.
I also think the warranty is 4 years.

Last couple batteries I've bought have been Motorcraft group 65 from O'Reilly. I believe I paid $180 so maybe $20-30 more than you'd spend on a group 58 battery, but I've been very happy with them. That extra $20-30 (and extra 10-15 lbs) gets you approx. 850 vs 550 CCA, 1000 vs 700 CA and 2h30m vs 1h20m reserve.

Due to a few electrical gremlins that I've had to work out over the years, and also my own intractable habit of leaving my headlights on, I've had too many anxiety-drenched episodes of running out the door to my car in a rush to leave, only to find a fox that was, in conflict with my immediate plans, in deep hibernation. So even though it may be a bit overkill, that extra $30 bought me some peace of mind. Now I intentionally leave my headlights on sometimes while in a restaurant or store to impress chicks. When I come out and the car fires up instantly, it's hard not to notice them stealing glances at the car and whispering to each other, likely overwhelmed by the flood of attraction and desire they feel. And it's all due to the eternally-adequately-charged Motorcraft chick magnet under the hood.

Somewhere I have a PDF of the Motorcraft decals that I printed out on sticker paper and laminated,I'll see what I can find.
I painted my new battery white and added the decals, looks nice but it's now in a battery box.
If anything,it's a good winter project.

Here it is,shoutout to MyZephyr from over on FEP.

AbhorrentSpecies,
Yes like all the above posts. You want bigger cables and a bigger charge wire and Yes to the Interstate battery
Apparently Interstate are the best batteries these days (not real sure about that)
Add some super caps to your system

I get the Interstates at Costco also. No complaints so far. 4 years in the ‘02 F150, and still cranks over immediately (daily driven).
The one in the Mustang has done well too, even with how little it’s used. I think I’m on year three of that one.

That's where I get my Interstate batteries. No other retailer that I've seen can come anywhere close to beating the price at Costco.

Interesting, I do and will continue. The dates of mine have been the same or previous month. That’s about as fresh as you can expect in the car battery world.

Didn't go to get battery today, I was removing it and noticed pos. term. slightly loose and underneath some corrosion.
Decided to wire brush and grease it down, connected it , alarm went off and it started strong. The battery is 3 and 1\2 years old from autozone, probably last me till temps hit 115 this summer.
Since I planned on working on her I changed oil and filter, mission accomplished.

I like this stuff a lot. With it, I have not had to use more than their spray cleaner in a long time, probably about a decade when I let a FLAPS kid install a new battery and forgot to use the spray later. No more electrolysis cauliflower on the positive terminals.

I have always had the best luck with 7-year batteries. /TheEnd

It never really mattered what label was on it. I currently have AC Delco 7 year batteries in all 5 of my cars. I buy them when I take possession of the car (don't give a damn how old or new it is) and the only one I've replaced was the one in my half-ton Burban after 10 years in the same truck.

Yes... Yes, I know that the large majority of automotive batteries come from one of three manufacturers. Yes, I know that the A/C Delco batteries could have come from any of them. The 7-year battery portion seems to be the common factor whether Die-hard, AC Delco, Costo, etc. These batteries are made to a specification and any of those manufacturers has the capacity to make them.

The pro rated battery warranty is well on its way out. Thanks to Walmart, Menards and O’Really’s etc, it’s down to a straight two or three year replacement warranty with no extended pro rated period. And even as prices have doubled or tripled, it’s harder to find those batteries built to that spec and marked the fair, but more complicated way.
Here are three year warranty AC Delco batteries, and they were the best deal I found in town last time. Are they the same line as the 7 year ones you use?
