Anyone know of any good paint & body shops in the Los Angeles/South Bay area? Its about time to get the body work done on the stang but i dont know where to take it yet . I have some rust that needs to be taken care of so i need a shop that knows how to handle rust & prevent it from coming back. I'd like to keep the paint & body cost under 10k if possible. Any idea what the average cost is for a pretty strait paint job?

You might start at a top-of-theline shop to get their opinions on what should be done. You can have the work done there, or shop around afterwards. But, you will have a good idea of what ought to be done when you shop it. If an estimate excludes work that the forst shop included, you can ask about it and have it added.

One of the best shops around for hotrod stuff miight be SoCal Speed Shop. IF their price and turnaround time is too high/long, they might recommend another good shop to you.

Hung Luu

I used a guy by the name of Hung Luu in Azusa. He works on tons of classic cars--including my 65 and Mario's 66 Fastback. Mario, another Stangnet member, recommended him to me months ago. Here is Hung's number: 626.758.0199. The shop is located at 950 Foothill. If you'd like to see pics of his work you can check out my ride: www.simmonsproperties.net/mustang
