I just called Dallas Mustang and this is what they quoted me for my 04 GT.


Mac L/T headers 359.00
Mac H-Pipe 389.00
O2 sensor extenders 35.00
Install 529.00

He said the reason the isntall was so expensive is because you had to tilt the motor to get these in?

Is this going to be worth the 1300.00????

i've heard of LT headers costing more than that to install. seems about avg

you should gain atleast 20rwhp. is that worth it? that's up to you. you may be limited in how much hp you gain since it appears you only have weld in mufflers and not a aftermarket cat-back. the stock cat-back piping sucks.

Hmmmmmmm, maybe I need to give DM a call as well? I'm curious of the individual breakdown of all of those exhaust components installs.....mainly just the header install though???

I haven't changed out my mid-pipe yet because I still don't know if I'll do LT's someday?

that's a pretty good install price for me.. make sure you get ceramic coated for the headers instead of chrome or something else..

not everyone has the balls to try it. i sure as hell dont being i need to have the car ready to go every morning for work since its my daily driver

Take a Valium man...You always seemed to be pissed - what's up with that?
LT install is quite a job for an experienced mechanic, let alone most of us garage, driveway or shade tree mechanics without access to a lift, an engine lift, air tools, etc, etc, etc.

find an installer that has never done it before, and get an estimate and pay before they get the car. Even experienced mechanics will have a time with the longtubes. At least it's not a 4valve, some shops have actually turned people down because it's too much trouble.
