Time to yank my outdated single pattern FR E303 cam for a better dual pattern cam. According to my engine combo listed on my signature, what cam that I'm thinking about would go best with my combo? TFS Stage one or two or a Anderson N41. Or something totally different?

Unfortunately I can't see sig on mobile.

Depending on your budget, I'd go custom. The cam isn't expensive but it may require new springs as well

My combo is basically a 306 with a TFS Top End Kit minus the TFS Cam of course. Tremec 5 speed with 3:73 gears.

TFS1 would work fine. I was originally going to go with the TFS1 with my similar combo. It comes on strong after 3k rpm so 3.73s are almost mandatory with it

I've heard good things about the n41 and was researching it when I decided to just go custom

TFS1 is a decent cam and good fit . nothing to radical but good power. I have it in one of my cars.

If you are going though all this trouble for a second time, get a custom cam. It would be insane to do all this work to swap an e cam for a tfs 1.

I swapped an E303 for a TFS stage 2 cam. I'm also insane enough to say that I'd do it again. With 3.55s in back, 280 Hp and 320 Ft/lbs at the tires, she bucked like a bronco with the E cam. Especially cold. Then I changed a lot. Went through a guy named Shannon who I think owns Western Motorsports in Alberta. He recommended the TFS stage 2 with the 331 I was buying. I don't remember his reasons, might have been price, But it's in my car and it's way better on the street. I also put 4.30s out back with a z-spec t-5. I know the motor is different and the gears are way different so it's not apples to apples but it's my car's history. The 331 is low comp and not boosted yet so it only makes about 300 of each at the tires which is close to the first setup. I love those gears and that tranny though. Powershift second gear at 4000 or better and listen to those tires burn until I get a good hard chirp in third. She'll idle around pretty nice too. It probably comes down to cash though. The TFS was a good price and I'm a bargain shopper. It's what the fox cars offered the most of back in the day. Bang for your buck.

Custom would of course be the best way to go but it'll be a little harder on your purse. I personally have the tfs1 in one of my cars and really like it

I have 2 331 stroker engine same built from same company.. one with Edelbrock performer heads and TFS 1 Cam and the other with Flotek Heads and F Cam... and the one with Flotek Heads and F cam makes way more power..then the one with TFS 1 and Edelbrock...must be like 50 HP more !!!! why 50 ? because I added 50 hp Nitrous on the other and I m running same 1/4 mile time like the Flotek/F cam engine aspirated..

I vote custom. It isn't much more expensive so why not.
