so the last couple weeks ive been really slowly leaking coolant from the rear seciton of my intake manifold.. on sunday night though im driving home from the city and i punch it, all of a sudden im seeing smoke out my rear like it's noones business... i pull over, i have almost no coolant left, its spraying out the engine like mad.. hitting my exhaust and creating the steam/smoke that was freaking me out... theres no coolant in my oil....

it only happens when i punch it hard, other than that it'll leak slowly...

I can't see any cracks, I don't see any broken hoses, etc...

If my intake is totally ****ed, wouldn't there be a different sound int he engine? kinda like a lawnmower sound (back when i blew my head gaskets)

it sounds the same as it did before... should I use this excuse for a better intake manifold? :D (96gt)

Yes, you should. If the funds allow, pick up a Bullitt (FRPP for your 96) manifold if you can find a good deal on one. Ford really jacked the prices of those though. May just have to go with a PI manifold, which is a good choice also.

I have a FRPP intake manifold on my 97GT I like it but really dont know how well it is performance wise. I dont think for the price it is really worth it unless you are going NPI all the way because then I bet it would be a nice addition with NPI P&P heads and some NPI cams.

My car does feel like it makes some decent power still up top.

heres a pic.
