Honestly guys...not counting the '79/82 nose cars and the '85-86 cars, i like Capris more than i like Mustangs. They just have a more business first look to them than the Mustang. I'm still undecided as to whether i like the Mustang fender flairs or the Capri fender hips better, but as far as the noses go i think the Capris are just plain old meaner looking, especially compared to the aero years. But that's just me

There is a fine line between "business" and "obnoxious" with the Capri design, and I think anything other than a monotone paint job makes all the extra scoops, rails, bulges, and scallops stand out too much and really kill the car in my eyes. The front ends on those cars are cool, but the ridiculous hood geometry, bubble hatch and rear end is too much for me.

I think the Capri is to the Mustang like the TA Firebird is to the Camaro. Mercury's (and Pontiac's) designers tried to separate the look of the two cars by adding all sorts of body line changes, and I personally think (for both cars) it is usually too much. Of course, like shown above, its not impossible to make these cars look good!
