got a baseline this afternoon on a dynojet dyno after my heads and cam swap and got 268hp and 290tq with a very jagged graph. my combo is afr 165's, tfs s1 cam, cobra rr's, mac shorty's, o/r x-pipe, c&l 76mm maf, kirban afpr, stock 120k mile injectors, stock cobra computer, cobra intake gasket matched, 70mm t/b.

my question is how much do you think i am leaving on the table with the stock cat back, stock pullies and the cobra intake?

these numbers where with 38 psi fuel pressure, 8deg base timing :bang: , and stock fuel pump. all were changed after the dyno and i can really tell a difference afterwards. new distributor is in the mail and another dyno session scheduled for the 8th of Oct.

btw, my buddy went with me and got his 99 M3 dynoed. bonestock 40k miles put down 208hp and 206tq.

oh i see it was a dynojet up in the post.. hmmm. 8.deg of timing is no good. i know the twisted wedge heads looooove timing. i have mine at 16* and 18* at the track. i also heard the afrs. like timing too..you should be over 300mark..thats were im hoping to be at.

I bet you can tell a difference with the pump and inj's changed.

I'd be willing to bet you would gain more from pulleys than the cat back.

With only 8 at the dizzy that would keep the numbers down as well.

On the other hand, keeping the spark low was wise with the small pump/inj's.

What did the fuel curve look like?

i didn't pay the extra beans for the exhaust probe so i don't know what my ratio was.

i ordered pullies with all the other junk and they got placed on back order so i went and cancelled them. i will order a set tonight.

i bumped the timing to 14 deg tonight and could immediately tell a diff.

i have a feeling things will be diff next time.

oh granny, a 95-99 is an e36 body style with the 240hp 3.2l, 01-05 is the 333hp. we raced just a few minutes ago and i totally spanked him. we used to be pretty even from a roll.

thanks guys, btw anyone know where i can get a tweecer? i'll be putting on the kenne bell next month and the dyno shop guy said he knew tweecer pretty good and would get me a few files.

Did you get any of the dreaded ping thing before you upgraded your inj's & pump?

If the answer to the above question is yes, has the fuel system upgrade helped with the ping?

I bet you could get some files from the yahoo site. Several guys on the regular Tweecer site run a kb and I bet you could get some help from them as well.
