I have poured the last 4 months trying to get this car put back together so I can actually drive it again (its been 5 years!). I had plans to blow through my Demon 650 but now see that I need to go ahead and F.I. this combo since the tech guys at Demon say I will have nothing but problems and it very well may be a fire hazard as the throttle shafts are not sealed. I have all the parts I will need to convert it but hate the thought of the extra work when I thought I was getting close to finaly driving the car again. Sorry I just needed to vent and I hope someone out there can give me the motivation to continue wrenching every night.

I agree with them, but you want to take your time when doing this job because if you make a stupid mistake you could end up taking even more time fixing your original mistake. Well just my 2 cents. Good luck and i am sure that it will be a fine machine.

Shakin66 -- Keep your eye on the goal. That car's going to be a blast to drive once you get it done. Set up the EFI - it's not as big a deal as you might think - and you'll have one sweet running, well-behaved rocket ship that you'll really enjoy.

Here's some motivation -- my '65(306EFI - just installed a Paxton 1000) just dynoed at over 400HP at the rear wheels. They're installing bigger injectors right now and finalizing the tune, so I'll have a final number tomorrow. Your setup is pretty similar - imagine how that's going to feel

If you are too that point, just walk away for a while. I did this on numerous occasions on my two year conversion to a race car.

One time the walk away amounted to over two weeks and the car was sitting in the shop just 50 feet from the house. I used the "B" word a bunch!

Try calling the guys that set up my carb, They mill a channel into the base plate so the fuel wont get blown out. They set mine up and did some final running adjustments last week.

Have you considered a full box around the carb rather than blowing down it's throat?

Hmmm...those look more like Ds than Bs to me, certainly C+ if not.

Well after looking through my F.I. parts last night it looks as though I am going take the time and inject it but only after taking a couple of nights to list these carb parts on ebay. So I will hit it again this weekend. I must say that 400H.P. at the rear wheels has me MOTIVATED!
