this is pasted off my jeepforum(.com) and uhh yeah. im excited. the mustang is doing good, and now its not my daily and i dont have to take it to college.

so i was off at school, i been looking for a grand for around 6 months or so, and i called one i found online. guy seemed nice and all so i gave the number to my dad and he called him, went and drove it, (car was near my house, not college) and he offered the guy 5500. he said hed have to wait till friday (yesterday) becasue he was waiting for another possible customer to call back. my dad called thursday and said we needed and answer and he said ill take it. so i was coming home from school and i had no idea what to expect. but i saw this as i drove my friends car up my driveway:

and just about lost it (surprise). my dad was leaning out of a window and said marry Christmas  . and the girl is my best friends g.f. so dont ask about her...

so i paid about 3k for it, and my dad put in about 2.5k. and he had the oil changed and got a new air filter before i even saw it. its a 2001 laredo, 114k miles on it. and it purrs like a kitten. its not many options on it, the guy added a tow package, which looks pretty solid, and all he has pulled with it is a 4x6 trailer occasionally. he said someone clipped his front end and pulled off his bumper and headlight (drivers) and he had all that replaced. so drivers side light is a new repo. and he had a sensor go bad in the trans, but had both sensors replaced while it was all apart. i saw the reciept, have about 2k miles left on the warranty for that, and it was both pressure soleniods. other than that he liked it allot, he bought a wk in the same color, laredo and everything. he worked as a highway sign something, so its mostly highway miles, the edge of the brake pedal is fine and the seat isn't torn at all. so today i got new floor mats, cause he had some thin cheap ones, i got back to black by mothers, air freshener trees (smells a little like dog on the inside) spark plugs ( i asked him if he did him and he said not since he's owned it which is about 50-60 k miles ), a haynes manual, new wiper blades, gas treatment, and more liscence plate screws. im going to dmv monday to get it registered and im leavin it at a jeep dealer to look over everything, and pressure check cylenders, and radiator (he put a new radiator in too, but someone said they saw steam in the front of it) and just try to get a feel for it. might do trans fluid change with diffs and stuff too but thats up in the air.

anyways im happy as a clam. this is my grad from college gift early and im glad i have a car i can take back to school with me. i feel like i got a nice truck too. here are the pics:

oh yeah and it needs tires:

Congrats, you'll like it! My mom has either an 02 or 04 Limited(don't remember which) with the 4.7L and it's very nice. I just picked up an 05 Limited with the 4.7 about 2 weeks ago for a new DD after driving my mom's for a couple days. Now if only I had paid the same price as you, so I wouldn't have a $326 a month car payment...

sweet, it's nice to have a ride other than a mustang every now and then. I have a ram 1500 quad cab and its really great to be able to really stretch my legs, adjust the steering wheel when I want to, or worry about some asshat slamming into me when the weather gets rough. foxes and rain dont mix!
