Hey all got another mustang! This one is a 1990 GT with a freshly rebuilt 5spd. The car itself isn't too bad, it has rust one the underbody, but it also has the 5 lug conversion, dual scoop hood, new hatch with a saleen wing, 16" crome cobra r's (yeah 16" blows" smoked headlights and tailights, which actually look good on the car..its all black. And 3.73s in the back, with a stock motor. It was in a little fender bender, went to a ditch and the previous guy fixed it, but not much of a body man so the lines are a bit off, but I don't care. Reason I got it.....5spd is going into my car!! Getting rid of that AOD!! WOOOHOOO!

BUT....I have all kinds of info on a t5-aod swap, but is there anything I need to remember when I put that aod back into the other stang? I can't imagine it being too different then the reverse steps of putting in the t5. Reason I am putting the AOD into the other car.....sell it, and hopefully come close to getting what I paid for it. IT's a big investment right now, but hopefully I can end up with a t5 for less then $500.

So tips on putting in an AOD are very much appreciated!!

Pretty much yeah, if I had time and $$$ I'd pull the rear end (has five lug discs and 3.73s) and the front spindles (also 5 lug) I will probably pull the springs (eibach) and a bunch of small parts to replace worn out/broken parts on my car. (ya now the piddly parts that are fine, but need some attention). Plus if $$$ were no issue, the hatch, wing and hood would all go on my car as well. But as it sits, I am swapping my AOD for the T5 and selling the car again. Neighbor is already interested in buying it. If I can sell the car for almost what I payed for it....I'll be happy.
