Got A New Toy!

Those look cool, nice gift.

My contract with Cingular/ATT is up in Feb. and I think I am going to look real hard at the iPhone 2.o and some other other offerings. One thing I CAN NOT STAND however is iTunes. I wish that google phone would come out already.

How is the MP3 and internetz on that one? I have a samsung sync and the 3G is real nice. I have not used the mp3 much as it kills the batt. I need to replace my currant mp3 so I am looking for a nice all in one package.

I just got that a couple weeks ago myself, RC. Very cool phone but searching the internet is a PITA! Comes in handy and such but sometimes it's buggy.

Those look like fun, but I cant justify paying the money. I only talk and text on my phones. I once bought a phone for the mp3 player function and then only used it for a couple months. Two years later I wasnt sure why I wasted the money just for that feature...

Depending on the deal you can get them as low as $130. I rely on email quite a bit for some income, so having it available 24/7 no matter what will be worth it. Plus the data storage is great and comes in handy. GPS w/live traffic abilities is nice too. My older unit was acting buggy for a while and this has already saved my hide in that respect :)

It gets live and databased TV too, so if you travel a bunch that could be a savior. My girlfriend and I travel a lot and often can't find what we'd like to watch. A tiny TV is better than no TV.

I've got a pre-3g iPhone. I love it. I use it a lot for accessing the internet and i use google maps constantly. I dont have a big enough problem with internet speeds when not in a wi-fi area to justify paying to get a 3G iPhone.

Hope you like it as much as I like my Iphone(used to make this post). Blksn, Itunes isn't too bad when you start using it. I was the same way before I got mine. You won't regret it at all.

I was really not wanting one but my sister got one last Feb. and I played around with it. I did not like the non-3G internet, my samsung blew it away speed wise. Now that they are 3G...and iPhone/iPod add ons/car hookups are FAR easier to get, I am looking.

I am looking at the compitition so if a nice windows music based phone comes out it will get a hard look as well.

I dont like the idea of an added subscription that I have to have just to use the phone. They would not even activate my sisters iPhone until she had an iTunes account...:nono:.

Itunes is free. You don't "need" it but it really completes the phone. It's how you update the firmware, manage music and other media and create back-up copies of the phone. I think the app store puts the phone head and shoulders above anything else on the market.
