I may be wrong but if all you did was change the fluid then you really shouldn't have a major problem because the modifier from the previous fluid would still have a residual effect. I don't think your vibration is from the rear end if it is only doing it from 50mph...Does it vibrate in any gear or just overdrive, at certain RPM's?Tally_4.6 said:A little update on this thread. Yesterday when i was at work my mom took the initiative to pick up some friction modifier at the local Ford dealer. Well i guess the guys she talked to (parts dep.) said the damage has already been done and that i prolly fried my friction plates and rear diff. Was this guy blowin smoke or was he tellin some truth to the situation? Either way i need to have my car looked at sometime soon. More help would be greatly appreaciated.
I'm pretty sure its coming from the rear end. It happens when in 4th and 5th gear, it may happen in lower gears but my car is so loud maybe i can't hear it. But this vibration you can defintely hear and feel. I've heard i could have bad u-joints also.COramprat said:I may be wrong but if all you did was change the fluid then you really shouldn't have a major problem because the modifier from the previous fluid would still have a residual effect. That's what I was thinking. It is maybe a coincedence that you noticed the vibration after the fluid change.Tally_4.6 said:I've heard i could have bad u-joints also.
