I'm so happy!! My dad was going to trade his truck in for a '05 diesel dodge 2500. The dealor offers you chump change so he was thinking about selling it privately instead. I need another car so that I can keep my stang in the garage and turn it into a project car. I originally planned on buying a '05 mazda 3i but that would cost me about 20k. After giving it some though, I offered my dad 6k for his '97 dodge ram 1500. I got a wicked steal because it's worth 8-10k.

It's got the quad cab, towing package, 4x4, tool box, and low miles. WOO HOO!

Here's a pic, it's the black one:

Very nice. I miss my truck, but when I had it, I missed my old stang. You have to best of both worlds. Also, when people get a truck as a second car, it's usually a beater, and that by no means is a beater. Congrats.

A truck and a mustang.... I agree best of both worlds...

I have the same, 4wd 03 dakota and my mustang.. not sure which is a dd, that depends all on the weather and what is being modified at the time...

Yeah, so much for good gas mileage lol
The good thing is that my office (Morgan Stanley) is only 2 miles from my house.

Nice looking truck. Wonder if my dad will sell me his truck for 6 grand when I graduate college. I wouldnt mind having a 05 F250 powerstroke to pull my mustang around.

Cute Girl driving truck =

On a more serious note, does anyone know if Dodge fixed whatever problem caused their automatic transmissions to die every 40-60K miles?

You seem to be doing quite well here Jess.

Looks like you going to have to deal with all of the View attachment 511324 as best you can.

oh it is a quad cab don't look like it from the pics. The quad cab long beds are fun don't fit in parking spaces and take a little time to get used to driving

it's a '97..... the year before they added doors for the back seat. I think it's going to be sunny today (first time in 3 weeks) so I am hoping to get some pics!!!!!

it has the short bed (what is it like 6ft??) and quad cab (meaning 6 seats).
