Hey guys I just got fired last week and it was for the most bull crap reason ever...this guy kept coming in and writing me phony checks of course i didn't know they were phony and so I sold him the tools he was requesting...however for the first two I didnt write his driver's license number on them because I was unaware that I was supposed to because I have never had a job that accepted checks (I am 19 btw) and I never write any checks..but after I was informed that I was supposed to write them I wrote the dl number on every check after that..they informed me of this after telling me the checks came back...well every check I was given after that I wrote the dl number on but two more came back bad and even though I wrote the number pon them as i was supposed to I still got fired!!! what bullcrap...so whoever wants to join me in the boycot of BMC West you are welcome to join me...what a crappy reason to fire someone!!!..anyway I think I wanna go back to working on a forklift I ave plenty of experience with that...but if anyone has any ideas let me know cause as of now I am unemployed...I need at least 12 bucks an hour and I am also open to apprenticeships!!

Sorry to hear you lost your job. Unfortuneately WA labor laws suck. You can get fired for absolutely nothing. If they never told you about the whole DL thing, then it really comes back to them for not training you properly or providing you with an accurate job description. You don't want to work for an employer like that. Try to get a job in a union shop if you can. There are probably some people on here that are anti-union, but there are a lot pro-union. The benefit of being union will provide you with some protection. Best of luck on your job search.

Definetly find a union job if you can. They usually pay better with good benefits.I am union and it almost takes an act of GOD to lose your job here.

Made sense to me, do you speaka in english?

Oregon labor laws are the same. Oregon is an At-Will state so you are never really safe with any job, except something Union based. Thing is, they had a reason to fire you for taking multiple bad checks even if it wasn't completely your fault. If they have an issue with people passing bad checks, then they need to take the initiative and start refusing checks. Cash or credit card is safer, and if people are committing check fraud then the business loses out and someone's head will roll for it. This time, it was your head.

It's crapola but it happens all the time

yeah I understand where they were coming from but to hold someone responsible for someone else's crime is crap..of course I would love a union job but being the age I am and only having strong experience with forklifts and not much else it is hard to find a good job..I always did really well in school and planned to go back for college but I need a daytime job that will pay my rent and what have you and still pay the college too..I did really well in any area that involved science, math, or technology..I probably should have went into the military like I had originally planned I got a 99 on the ASVAB so I could have done whatever I wanted..

Hey I'm hiring for Verizon Wireless, I need a sales rep at my location. For sales reps pays $14/h plus commission. Commission is about $1300/month if you're a retard and only do bare minimums.
Come directly to me for an interview in Plymouth, Mass

A union shop wouldnt be to bad to be in but there is always lay off's in them? At least in my trade, as for that it dosent matter if it union or not! Go into any union and get into the apprentianceship program you dont really need to know anything they will train you for the most part, then after a couple years you go jourman and make decent money! good luck if we were bussyer i could get you on here! Or get into the long shore mans union!!!! Can you say$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and yeah good luck on this one peace
