I got hit on the driver's side. I will def need a new fender there, I was wondering what else needs replacing. Of course new lights and a front bumper cover. But can you tell by the pic if I would need a new hood or pass fender? Also, how much damage dollar-wise do you think this is?

the passenger fender and hood look good, regardless of what anyone says, replace the FULL bumper assembly, not just the foam and the bumper cover, replace it all. looks like you'll need some headlamps and fix the assembly to that also, but heres the problem.. You cant tell if theres any drivetrain problems, any structural damage in pictures, you need to have someone inspect the car in person..

If you havent already, dont contact your insurance, it looks ~$2-3k worth of work, its not worth going through the hassle with them..

did you see anything wrong with the supsension? It looks pretty bad. If none of the frame was bent it should not be that hard to fix. a couple thousand i would think i don't know. Sorry to see that :(

There's no real structural damage, it wasn't hit taht hard, It'll need a full bumper assembly I'm sure. The part that really sucks is I hadn't realized my registration was expired, so now it's impounded. Then it's getting towed to the body shop my friend works at. But the hood looks OK even with that gap between the hood and the fender?

its hard to tell what the hood looks like, especially the underside, you need to take more pictures of it... i think what may have happened with the gap is that a hinge got pushed and the hood is pulled out of alignment, unless it lost its shape and its crooked now.. also, it isnt latched down, its resting, so its going to give the effect that theres a gap, once its latched and you align it back up, it will look good as new :nice:

Besides the obvious, it looks like you'll need a headlmap mounting panel, metal bumper reinforcement, maybe the metal tray the radiator sits in and im sure a few other little odds and ends. Id sayh around 2000-2500 in damage.

I had an accident in my former 97 GT and it mostly looked like cosmetic damage. Upon further inspection, there was major frame damage and it raised to repairs up to about 12k and totalled the car.....so I bought a 97 Vert :-)

The guy who hit me was going prob about 15-20, it was in a parking deck. He struck my driver's fender, it didn't look like there was any frame damage.

good to hear, well i hope it works out for the best and you get it fixed soon :nice:

I just got off of the phone with the body guy. He said it's going to need a fender, hood, front bumper cover, strut, A-arm, lights. I haven't heard from the insurance adjuster yet, how much dollar-wise is this lookin like?
