Finally got my GSD3's so I could put my 10.5's on.

1. The tires look great. 315's just make a 94+ Stang. I put the same tire on my wife's 96. A fantastic piece of rubber.

3. Exceptionally good photos. You obviously know how to compose a picture well. What kind of rig are you using?

Wow, I LOVE that tread (ironically Kevin, I have a tire thread going for the '94, but I'm QUITE limited in what I can spend. One requisite has been a neater lookin tread pattern - I'd settle for something lookin 20% as neat as those!).

The stance, wheels and fender-lip to wheel/tire relationship is golden Kevin. You really nailed it!

The new combo helps augment what every woman hates: This makes my butt look wide.

I think Kevin only 'bolts' his slicks down - these nice street tires should have beeded-down hard enough to not slip in the rim under a WOT launch.

MeanSN95, I'm sure you are one of many whom would like the full scoop. It's funny - the pics don't even look real to me - they look computer generated due to the car being so mint.

The rear wheels are 10.5" replica wheels. The fronts are stock.

The GS-D3 runs wider than average on size so it did rub slightly on the back side when I bolted them on with the suspension unloaded.

I also run the MM button head IRS bolts instead of grinding the stock bolts down like some people do.

I had to put on a 5/16 inch spacer to get the tires to clear with the suspension unloaded but I am going to try a 1/4" spacer today to see if I can get away with a little smaller spacer.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

It's lowered with stock cut front springs and H&R Race in the rear.

BTW: I did end up going with the 1/4" MM spacers.

Those are some of the most aggressive looking tires out there, but I hate to tell you that you are going to spin all the way thru 3rd with them. I had their 285's mounted on 10.5" rims till last fall and sold them at half price to get 315 Nitto drag radials. With your roots blower making that torque, I can't imagine you can even get into it half way in 1st or 2nd. I got loose last year shifting into 3rd at the drag strip with my n/a'd '97 with only 3.73's. No issues at all now with the Nittos. I must say tho that the GS-D3's are great in the rain and pretty good at the road courses too. I did four days on them at open tracks last year and they held up really well.

Car looks gorgeous.

I just got my 315 GS-D3's mounted on 10.5" Cobra wheels as well (with the 1/2" spacers), and the car looks MEAN! (I also have the 275 GS-D3's in the front.) I had 285 GS-D3's before, and I love that tire so much that I won't even consider anything else. I rarely have a hard time hooking in 2nd gear now (with minimal tire spin). I also have full-length subframes, IRS bushings, and a diff brace. In my opinion that is the BEST tire one can buy for these cars - the tread looks aggressive, it plants these cars down, and it is an incredible rain tire. They may be a little pricey (especially the 315's), but it's so worth it.

I agree that these tire hook well. My car makes 467/490 and I don't have a problem in 2nd gear at all. The only time it doesn't hook is when the road is uneven.

I will buy another set when these go.
