Thats what my car laid down today.

HOWEVER, we were not able to get it to pull past ~4700, as I have a pretty decent misfire. The cam is spec'd to have peak hp @ 6k, so it should be pretty easily into the 410-425 whp range once I get the misfire figured out.

The combo is as follows:

  • 347 CI (forged everything) ~ 10.5:1 compression
  • Jay Allen solid roller cam (~600 lift)
  • Canfield 195 heads (spec'd by Jay Allen)
  • Victor 5.0 intake (upper extrude honed, lower port matched to heads, inlet 90mm)
  • 90mm Accufab TB, 90mm MAF, 4" intake tubing)
  • 1 3/4 Accufab LT's w/ 3" collector, 3" offroad hpipe
  • 3" Hooker Aerochambers (loud) with dumps

As you can see I am leaving alot of power on the table, as tq is STILL climbing when it starts to cut out. I have to figure out if its the plug wires, cap/rotor, distributor, or ignition box (or something else :/ )

Its frustrating that its STILL not 100%, but its moving in the right direction. As soon as I get the misfire figured out it'll go back for a couple full pulls to 7k. :)

The torque peak of 388 at 4750rpm looks to be right on the money. The problem is the horrendous misfire from 4900-5700rpm and then again from 5800rpm upwards. The peak of 395 at 5750rpm gives a good indication of what your 347 is capable of. I think the peak will be more like 400 at 6000rpm when you've sorted out the misfire. Redline will effectively be at about 6500.
