Yea lol, just got a wild hair and was intown...so I said what the heck. And it was only $5 :D.
FULL weight + a few little things, gas gauge was still showing all the way FULL. FULL STREET TRIM W/ THE HEADY DD BULLITTS TO BOOT. And this is W/O me in it, just empty weight. This was on a local truck scale, and they weigh big rigs for Texas DOT, cars, ect. Its not digital, but that doesnt matter...its still very accurate.

Thats 3250#s. . About 30#s lighter than I thought it was :D. Guess that tubular K, and no cats really helped out:flag: .

BTW what does everyone elses weigh? And to keep this tech, what else can I do to drop weight W/O taking away comforts or safty?

And my 66 stang weighed 2890 on that same scale W/ 1/2 tank of gas....that was about 2 years ago. We have since pulled another 40ish#s out of it :D.

We've got a scale up here that is free if you go late at night. Its at a bottling company. Anyway, my car weights around 3700 with a driver in full street trim. That includes my sub/box, amps, trunk bag of ****, spare, full tank of gas, etc. I figure that I had it down to 3560 when I was at the track. Stupid cars are so frickin heavy.

Thanks :D. To be honest I was worried to lol, I was hoping it didnt say 3500 or something.

Yours should weigh 3350. No cats, but the 18s probably evened that out  . But for $5 you cant beat it.

I figured my 18's would pack a few unwanted pounds on the car, but I don't mind.. they look good to me! But I might have to get my car weighed sometime, just for the fun of it :D

It was about 3210 when I put the DRs on, and pulled the 37# spare/jack :D. Your right, I could easily pull alot more weight off too. pass seat, rear seats...that there is another 80#s. Through on my dads V6 rims up front, thats 20. The car could be down to 3110 next time out if I wanted.
Heck, I could pull my 70 or 80# seat and replace with a race seat.
Ohhh so many possabilitys :D.

Damn our cars are heavy :(

I didn't get to weight my GT but i did weight my Fox once.

3190 with me in it....stock! :) I've removed some items so it might be under 3000 without me by now :)

just add 100# and you can be faster.

hot331 you will be over 320. heads and extensions. more than 30.
wow, this post made absolutly no sense at all:shrug:

have you taken your sway bars out?
might also want to take out the pass seat next time you hit the track

the weight thing makes a lil sense depending on where the weight is. If you've wlaked the pits at an NMRA race you'll notice weights in the backs of several cars that is 1. to get the car to weight, 2. Putting the weight in the back helps with transfer and traction.
But to hot. Maybe remove sound deadening under the carpet, in a fox it's like 20+ lbs when we did it. and put carpet back. If you don't use the back seats, remove them and make a rear seat delete, some 1/8ply wood and a lil carpet glued to it, cheap and light. Move battery to trunk and maybe go with a lighter weight one. 15" rims and tires for the track, Gut the trunk all the lil cover up stuff and carpet gone. Hmm foglight/driving lights how often do you use them ditch them and the brackets. Of course there is replace front seats with lighter weight ones perhaps remove passenger at track.
