Ok i went to schucks and read the codes this is what i came up with:
KOEO: Code 629 Torque converter clutch solenoid circuit faliure
Code 566 3-4 shift solenoid circuit faliare. Could these come up cause the car use to be an auto and now a T-5?
Memory codes were:
157 MAF below minimum voltage
223 Loss of dual plug inhibit control
224 Powertrain control module detected coil 1,2,3,4 primary circuit failure dual plug
332 EGR Flow insufficient
These are on my 92 4 cyl any help or ideas would be great! peace

Eh, yeah, very much so. The "circuit failure" means that the solenoids either have a break somewhere or just aren't plugged in. I suspect you removed them for the swap...

157: The MAF probably lost either power or the ECU reference voltage at some point while the engine was running.
223: Search me
224: Sounds like the same thing as the transmission solenoids; open circuit at some point.
332: There is a sensor on the EGR valve to make sure it is opening and closing like it should. Yours is most likely stuck, but cleaning the valve is pretty easy. That's my immediate take on the codes. It's 11 at night and I'm going to sleep.
Um well it seems to run sorta fine? It always feels like it's not putting out full power. So what then replace the coil packs? Both of them? What about the MAF? Clean or replace it also? peacestykthyn said:sounds like your ignition took a dump. how is it running?

So the tranny codes is ok well i mean i dont have to worry about them cause of the t5? I didnt do the swap it was done when i bought it. peace65ShelbyClone said:Eh, yeah, very much so. well yeah, its a 4 banger. do a full tune up. reaplace all the plugs, wires, and fluids. clean all your sensors. pull the MAF and clean it. the EGR throws a lot of oil in there so it may be gummed and not giving a good reading. It always feels like it's not putting out full power
I've already done all the above except clean the MAF. peacestykthyn said:well yeah, its a 4 banger. do a full tune up. reaplace all the plugs, wires, and fluids. clean all your sensors. pull the MAF and clean it. the EGR throws a lot of oil in there so it may be gummed and not giving a good reading.

Be extremely careful if you do try to clean the MAF wires. They shouldn't even be dirty enough to matter if there has been an air filter on the car for the last 13 years. BTW, the EGR doesn't do anything with oil. A funky PCV valve would responsible for oil in the intake, but residue sure as heck shouldn't be reaching the MAF. Something that could oil the MAF is a cotton gauze air filter that has filter oil....like a K&N.
On the shift solenoids, you could find some resistors with the same impedance(resistance) as the original solenoids themselves and make jumpers out of them. That would fool the ECU without burning anything up. That or get a 5-speed ECU.

So with having the 5 spd in there instead of the auto could cause it to throw cods and possible not run right? peace65ShelbyClone said:Be extremely careful if you do try to clean the MAF wires. I don't know. The solenoid "simulators" would at least keep the codes and CEL from coming on.
