Things to buy may include oil galley plugs, and the dowels that locate the heads and bell housing.

Sounds like the beginning of a stout motor!

if you dont mind giving a link to where you picked it up please.. also

To say the least.. if your not counting hard machined parts..
full gasket kit
all seals
Bearings (cam and crank)
if you feel the need a ARP bolt kit for the whole motor
good lube to put her together

Are you putting this together yourself?

No offense, but if you are going to attempt it, dont. If you are asking these kinda questions now, i cannot see you having enough knowledge to build a stout motor. Its a lot of money to risk on a limited amount of engine building knowledge.

Well the Sportsman requires, freeze plugs, cam bearings, about 18 NPT plugs, and full machine work. My advice is to let your MACHINIEST get the parts, they usually do not rape you on those types of parts. The block comes with the bellhousing dowels and the front timing cover cover dowels...

I personally would find someone in your area that has worked with these blocks before. Take the instruction sheet that came with the block with you, it tells them everthing they need.... However just like any other motor it ALL NEEDS TO BE CHECKED!!!! ASSUME NOTHING.

yep, sounds right to me... I let my machinest get the plugs, cam bearings, brass freeze plugs and oil galley plugs. I keep the oil filter fitting here on the shelf, they are needed on all aftermarket blocks.
