Well, while I was at work today, I took it upon myself to clean this bitch up. I took a die grinder with a coarse barrel from my head porting kit and cleaned up all the extra junk. I matched the plenum opening to the gasket. I got it all nice, and couldn't leave the rest of the inside of the plenum looking like crap, so I went balls deep, and cleaned up and semi-polished the whole inside of the plenum. The old addage is that you're not supposed to polish the intake side of anything, but, seeing as how we're not in the carb-ed days, I went ahead and did it anyway. If I ever go with nitrous, i'll rough it up again. I'd show pictures, but its out in my car, and I don't feel like getting up.

Pretty much all plenums have casting marks in them. If you find a company that sells one with no casting marks inside please post it up. Those casting marks are easily gotten off with a dremel. the inside of that plenum doesn't look any worse than what I've seen from all the other makers.
Also, on the gasket. Not sure if you're talking about the fact that it looks a little off center or that the gasket opening is bigger then the plenum opening. If you're talking about the gasket opening being larger... well I'm using my stock TB gasket on a PP plenum and it's a little larger like the one you show. I miced the opening in the plenum and it's 75mm. the opening in the gasket was 78mm.
I also have no wistle with my setup. I've seen threads on here over the years from people that have had whistles and it's happened with pretty much every combo. Some whistle some don't no matter who the manufacturer is.
If you really hate it that much send it to me and I'll send you my stocker I have sitting in the garage that I ported to 75mm and is smooth as hell on the inside.

How about Accufab and Holley for starters? You don't get casting marks when your throttle bodies aren't cast to begin with. They're machined from one piece billet stock.
Ford Racing has now entered the one piece billet market with their 3V throttle bodies.

Accufab doesn't machine the plenum from billet, only the throttle body. The plenum, while nice, is a cast piece.
Sorry...in my head I was reading throttle body when I responded to the post. As far as I know, all plenums are cast, yes.

Yes, you get what you pay for. I took a risk in buying my PP plenum/TB. But they both look and function great with good HP gains. I bought mine a while ago so maybe they have crappy products now. But mine is tits...
