Seriously though around here if you get caught ,Just caught at a street race and they catch you your car becomes property of the town and they WILL and do turn them into dare cars .

okay what i meant by the innocent bystander crap is what i haven seen....5 years ago going down the main street in my town a porsche and sn-95 stang were goin at it.....this is a two lane double yellow line road....well not to either of these boneheads knowledge a 1/4 mile or so the way down an SUV was pulling out from a side street both the porsche and mustang hit the SUV doin probably 120. The porsche driver is dead....everyone in the SUV was dead and the driver of the stang was dead.....the only one who survived was the girlfriend of the stang driver who was riding shottie....by the way she is legless now because when the stang hit it split in half........street racing is never worth it.....drive ur 75 or 95 miles to the track and dont speed on the highway.......u drive a 5.0 there is no need to speed.....we know how fast our cars are

I may not be from England or Europe for that matter, but what kind of wanker are you? First a 95mph speeding ticket, and then you get your car impounded. I think this is a clear sign from the car gods and the big man up stairs himself that you need a honda with a 1.3L engine that couldn't speed in a 45mph zone if you held the pedal to the metal for a good 30-40 minutes straight...and from light to light...forget about it!:hail2:

That said: Street racing conducted intelligently is no more dangerous than racing at a track.

Period. I've seen MORE accidents at the track then I've seen on the street.

Track REQUIRES special safety equipent such as roll cages, helments, fire suits, etc.

the track is also limited to JUST 1/4 mile... while a street race can go on for as long as it needs to which means speeds can be higher.

the track is also REQUIRED to have an emergency vehicle on call with first response personell on duty. Good luck get'n 911 to you wreck scene in a street race in less than 30 seconds when every second can be the crucial factor between life and death.

the track is ALWAYS striaght and prepped so no random water puddles and etc are just sitting around.

the track doesnt have a problem with deer running across it.

the track doesnt have any other traffic

the track has barrier walls to keep the cars out of spectactor areas

and I could go on and on and on here my friend...

I've also seen more wrecks at a track... but then again I DONT STREETRACE and Ive been the track every weekend since I was 12. so you can do the possibility math there. Lets tally up the deaths in local drag racing at the track and compare that to retarded street racers. I gaurantee you the street racing tally will be much much much higher. I have no idea how you truely believe such a statement that you have made and why anyone would agree with you.

im not a wanker whatever the mess that is. Plus if any of you even looked at the other thread about the speeding ticket, i wasnt going 95 intentionally, my speed said 80 the whole time. So i was not speeding purposly.

Although I did hit one of Strype's kitty-cats when he was neglecting to watch it at the track once. It was already on fire though, so I did it a favor.:D
All jokes aside....Sad will be the day that a street race ends in the injuring of someone in my family because I can tell you that if the crash didn't kill him/her who was racing, I sure as hell will. A 3000 lb car travelling @ 100 mph may not kill you but a 180 grain hollow point travelling @ 3400 fps will surely do the job.:Word:

You just made yourself sound dumber-er. ANYBODY who's been driving for more than a couple months can feel generally how fast/slow they're going.. I've driven and owned cars with speedo's off in either direction, daily. I've had an 85 that registered almost 20 over what I was going, I've had a 94 that registered 3 under, I've had a 94 that registered 12 over, I've had a 88 that registered 9 over etc... You gotta be a total retard to 1.) NOT NOTICE THREE COPS PULLING YOU OVER 2.) GOING 90 IN A 65 ZONE, 3.) Be retarded.

So man up, cut out the excuses and thank your lucky stars the armed forces still accept you :rolleyes: And hope they make a man out of you.

No roll cage required for my car. No fire suite either. Yeah, I'm supposed to wear a helmet, but they don't enforce it.

Is there something preventing me from wearing me helmet in a street race? And is wearing a helmet really making me THAT much safer?

Do you HAVE to race past 1/4 mile on the street? Do you HAVE to go faster? No, you don't, and like I said...street racing smartly is no more dangerous than racing at the track.

Besides, last year two morons at a track were dead even at the 1/4 mile trap during a grudge match. They didn't stop. They went off the end of the track and one died...and I've heard this happens fairly often.

During sanctioned events, yes, during T&T I don't believe that's the case. How many of us race in sanctioned events? Not me.

ROFL! Not to sound like a dick, but you must not pay attention to this stuff much- again, last year, at a track in Ohio during the rut a deer ran right across the track and almost caused a major accident!

We used to race on an abandoned industrial highway around here with no where for deer to live around...the track I run at is out in the sticks of farm country. I'd suspect deer trouble at the track way before I'd expect it at the old spot.

No, my local track and MOST tracks have guardrails. There was no spectator area at the old industrial highway. +1 for my street spot.

I doubt it will be "much much much" higher. I agree, there probably more street racing deaths...but I doubt that those deaths resulted from street racing done responsibly and intelligently the way I described it.

JStang, maybe they will let you drive transports, etc. That will cure you need for speed. Maybe you can get a bunch of the soldiers (God bless them) together and "street race" them. I hear they can really haul A$$. Hell I bet your 20 chromes would look pretty fly on a transport. they would probably fit. :D

Well anyone who use "dumber-er" must be the real retard here. Congradulations on your ability to tell how fast your going without the help of your speedo, thats a real skill you got there, i hope it takes you places:nice: . I didnt no the speedo was off, so why would i try to guess my speed. I've been 100+mph in a car before and it sure didnt feel like i was going that fast. Then me not seeing the cops is a honest mistake, im sure its happened to several people.
