Got the Cobra!!

Paid $11 K for it from the original owner and had 37k miles on the car. He kept it covered inside his garage so the paint is in showroom condition. The car actually belonged to his wife but I guess she didn't want it anymore.

The engine bay was pretty damn clean and he had a lift in his garage for me to inspect the undercarriage and zero leaks. The car was barely modified, Steeda springs, tokicko adj. shocks, steeda ball joints, offset bushings and flowmasters. He also threw in a $300 car cover and an extra cobra rim. Car rides real nice, not one squeak or rattle.

Maybe I paid a bit more for it but IMO I thought it was worth it since I plan on keeping it for a long time.

Goodluck with your search!

Congrats!! That things beautiful!!! IMO, I dont think u paid too much, because I would rather pay more for a cherry car than pay less for one that hs underlying issues.. That is an excellent buy...& BTW, the notch is nice too...

Real nice Cobra! I just got mine two weeks ago and love it! The car is almost 12 years old and still runs like hell and has no squeeks or noises either. Ford really built these cars.

Thanks for the props Epik!

Orange92, yeah don't you just love it!!!! I have to admit that it's more driver friendly than my notch and more comfortable.

Yeah, I do love this car! It is my favorite car I have ever owned. Sometimes I just go in the garage and stare at it:nonono: I really liked all my Foxes, and my last 92 GT was the best but the Cobra is far superior, and to think I used to rip on the aero cars:nonono: Even with one muffler pipe broken going into the can the car is still quieter than the GT was with MAC dumps, o/r h pipe and headers. I just ordered Flowmasters Force II cat back last night and cant wait to see how it sounds:nice:

Im not sure what your notch has done to it, but if its semi stock, I bet the cobra feels a hell of a lot quicker too!!!:D

My GT had alot of mods including a 306 and this Cobra is almost stock (o/r h pipe, mufflers, Jet chip and 3.73's and the air silencer removed:p ) and is alot faster than the Fox was. The Cobra will spin both tires all the way to 80 (no BS) and the GT could only do it to 60 (with a bad TracLoc so only one tire:nonono: )
This shot was taken on a closed road by my house, I was in fifth and still accelerating really hard. The car has bigger balls than me, the drive shaft vibration got me nervous enough to back off! When I get a new driveshaft I WILL bury the speedo:nice:

Yeah, be careful Orange, I don't want to hear 2 months from now that you wrapped your car around a pole or something. Keep it within reason :D

The car definitely feels faster than my notch. The notch doesn't have much besides a Ford FIPK, Aluminum Driveshaft, Flows. The Cobra is just easier to drive and I can adjust the seat to a much more driver friendly position.

I appreciate a your comments! Thanks!!

Slow down turbo, you want to enjoy your car not be killed by it :rlaugh:

Thanks guys, and you are right. I usually dont go anywhere near that fast, but when I found that road:hail2: It is 5.8 miles long, straight as an arrow, no connecting streets and is closed till september. It connects my road to the main Farm Road and only 3 houses on my road. But I will slow it down, just wanted to play with the new toy:D

BTW what is the top speed of these things?

Sorry not trying to hijack the thread.:nono:

I'm actually curious to know what the car tops out at. I don't plan on finding out myself. :D

I've always wondered what it was like to drive either a Mach or a Cobra. The only true "sports car" that I have ever driven myself has been my stang. And my measly 230 rwhp seems pretty quick to me at times (I used to drive an Elantra before  ) so I can only imagine how you Cobra and Mach owners feel.
