so i got tired of the pump not working and wired everything to the starter solenoid, got it to work and prime on key on. turned her over and got nothing still. im getting no pressure to the rails, well i assume that i checked the right valve (smelled like gas and all). the ignition is working properly, but the injectors are still not firing i believe. they have power, i made sure of that, but they are either not firing due to no fuel pressure or they just arent working. my next step is probably gonna be taking the intake manifold off and probably just checking the fuel rails and injectors. im really stuck here, i dont understand why no fuel is getting to the engine bay. new fuel filter and the lines look good, what do you guys think would be the most likely culprit? i know this is the 5.0 section, but does anyone know if the valve ontop of the fire wall, connected into a fuel line, is the right place to ceck for pressure in the rails, i get nothing from it. thanks a lot

If you're not depressing the AC's high pressure valve, you should be on the fuel Schrader valve.

Use a noid light to check injector pulsing. The computer should provide key-on 12 volts and the computer controls the ground pulse to each injector separately (on a 5.0 - I'd assume it the same for your 4 banger).

If you dont have the ground pulse to the injectors, check real quick that the TPS sig-return isnt reading 3.7+ volts.

Good luck.

guess ill have to pick up a noid light, you wouldnt happen to know off the top of your head where the shrader valve on a 2.3 is? cause i dont think this valve is it, i mean i should have got something at least, i mean the pressure was never released in the rails that i know of.

Sorry - I have no idea. For something basic like that, a repair manual or the 4 banger sub-forum should work.

Good luck.
