Well this sucks. My auto V6 maxed out as about 110mph, because of a governer. This thing pops the trasmission out of gear, until the car slows down a bit, then go back into gear. IT'S GOTTA GO! Is it even possible to take this thing out? Is so, how can I do it, and how much will it cost?

The governer is there to prevent you from doing damage to your driveshaft.

ok, then hypothetically, if my driveshaft was strong enough, and i had a legitimate reason to go over 110, how would I do it?

I believe you'd need to take it somewhere and get the computer played with.

why would you need to go over that speed, it woun't get to that speed in the 1/4 unless you are modded pretty good. are you planning on robbing a bank and using it as your getaway car.LOL

just so ya know...a governor is a mechanical device...mostly used on diesels these days. What stopping you is a rev limiter set in your computer. Easily overcome by a chip.

eh you can get over that limiter by getting someone who knows what they're doing connected to your comp and just disable it...

or spend 300 on a programmer and do it yourself. that is the first thing i did to my car. with the programmer you can adjust a lot on your car to get it into better shape. and as for going 110, my avarage speed here in germany is about 125 to 130 on the autobahn. anything above that and my car gets really loose in the rear end(havent done the suspension yet)
