Granada 9" in a 67 Stang..Who's done it?

Is this a worthy swap? It's a little narrower.... ..good/bad? Do the spring perches match up? Link to sites with direction/instructions?

Not decided on disc brake rear. Is this workable/worthwhile on a standard shift car? I need the emergency brake!!

I did a '78 Granada 8" into my 68 with NO problems. It's open, it's 3.00, but its in., It is a little narrower then a mustang 8" but I think its better for that deep dish rim look

I put a Versailles rear in my '67 about 10 years ago. It mounts right up with no mods needed. The e brake on mine was missing on my car when I bought it 27 years ago, and I never bothered to install one. I know that it can be done. I just don't know how much fabrication is involved, if any. You may have to do some minor adapting for the brake hoses, no big deal. I like that it is 1" narrower on each side. My 275 40 17 tires fit great. I have heard some with a standard rear say that they rub on the wheel well lip.

YES! I have 275/50 MT Drag Radials and they rub. If they set in about another 1/2 inch I think they would be okay. Maybe I need to find one.

The Granada 8" or 9" ( if you can find such an animal ) swap is the same as a Versailles swap. Also an option in the same years Monarchs.

i think the non-versailles 9" rears were limited to the granada ESS with the 351w or the monarch also with the 351w. i've heard of some police/taxi granada's that would have likely gotten the 9" but have never seen one. i've only ever seen one 351w granada ESS and it was in a junkyard i worked at in high school, went to the crusher a long time ago.

The "Versaillles" rear I had came from under a Monarch. I've heard that very few Granadas got the 9's and these were drum brake rears.
