PICTURES ADDED>>GREAT STORY ABOUT THE HISTORY OF MY CAR
Hey guys, just figured I would let you guys know about my day today, March 8th of this year I bought the car of my dreams from Ron Hopkins Ford in Elgin Illinois.
Ever since 2002 when my father picked up his 02 torch red gt, black leather, automatic
from buss ford, I said damit dad that has to be one of the best looking cars ive ever seen. The looks, the sound, the smell..... ahhhah I was in heaven. So fast forward to January 08. Me and my father have to be the biggest car clean/maintaince freaks there are... whole family gear heads... and we started our quest to find me a torch red gt. we probably looked at over 100 gt's from january to march. March 8 I wake up early, hop online to check out some gts to look at. Low and behold a torch red gt 2002, 22,XXX miles, 5-speed stick, 18" bbs rk style rims. I nearly **** my self!!! to speed the story along we pick up the car for a unheard of prices on 11,095 out the door, sales taxs, licence plates.... the whole deal. The car comes with original window sticker, smells new. So fast forward to last week. I get the idea to send a letter to the previous owner who was the original owner. I give him my number and today he gives me a call. What a crazy world this is. This guy bought this car drove it on weekends... covered it up during the week, no rain, no snow. He traded it in on a new vette. I have waxed the **** out of this car, took the seats out and shampooed the carpet, cleaned the undercarrage extensivly. Basically this is the second cleanest gt Ive ever seen, My fathers being the first with only 349 miles
yeah..... hes crazy. Anyways the guy turns out to be a great gear head. Hes going to come check out the car sometime.. Gear heads are my kind of people.....
Just thought I would share my Hunt for my dream car....
