Hey guys,

Right this is a strange one, i have recently started to get a grinding noise coming from the right rear corner of my car when pulling away it only happens when i pull away from a stop for about 3 secsond then goes away!

any ideas?

i have a 98 GT auto btw if that helps!

could it be my rear caliper starting to seize? (when we changed the brakes it seemed really tight pushing it back in to accomodate the new pads and disk)

or i recently had 4 of my 6 cats removed and this noise started 2 days after this was done! coincidence? maybe but i might go back this weekend and get them to put the car on the ramp and have a look!

any tips or ideas? oh btw you cant hear the noise outside the car?

so in short what is it

bushing? exhaust? rear calliper? etc etc

its driving me mad lol!

sorry for the long post and hope it is clear!

Si

check your calipers. and also check your rearend.

8.8 rear is stronger then GM 7.5(like one in my T/A), but it does brake time to time....

stupid Q time........how do i check my rear end?

im hopefully ordering a set of the rear bullit brakes to go with my front set......... this leads me onto my next question would the rear pads and discs from my car fit the bullit rear calipers? or do i need the specific ones?
