i was wondering if till i get my mach1 grill delete kit in about 2 weeks if i could just remove the hole asembly and just have nothing no pony no honeycom????is it possible to just remove it and not put anything back in its place?? cause i think that i rather have nothing than that ugly ass honeycom so what do you all think? :)

Well, if you are looking for opinions, I wouldn't do it. Removing the stock grille will not look too good since its removal will expose the various holes and ugly plastic underneath. The Mach 1 kits include a trim panel to cover that stuff up.

oohhh okay thats the answers i was looking for i didn't know wether i was going to expose anything by doing that know that i know im not going to do it and im just going to wait till next week to get my mach 1 grill delete kit. thanks guys

I disagree with the above. You can do it, and I don't think there is no critical that is "exposed". Yes, grill delete is the much cleaner look. But the straight delete like you are saying is what numerous racing Mustangs do. A little crude, yes ... but no real reason why not for just a couple of weeks.

I had done that to my black GT because I hated the honeycomb just like you. I didn't think it looked that bad, except for the srewholes and the minor scratches, it'll save you a little patience doing it now and then putting the delete in later, like 1/2 now 1/2 later. I got really pi$$ed at my grill, not that it was hard, it just is a PITA and I thought I would permanately bend the plastic. Turned out okay though....

I did exactly what damien2003gt did,but i saw his in person and loved it.I went to the local dealership and ordered the grille eliminater part(that is what ford calls it),that covers the holes.Looks sweet!! :nice:
