When I shift into 3rd, unless I baby it in it grinds. If first started out when I would shift hard...like i said, now its a lot. What could be wrong? Is it my synchro? If its bad hopefully I can put the stock shifter back on and take it in for warranty. Thanks for any help!

Obviously there is something wrong so I would put the stock shifter back on and take it in. If they ask you about taking off the shifter, just tell them you thought something was wrong and took it off to see if you could see what was broke.

welcome to the club it sounds like the syncro though. the typical t-3650 problem is with the 2nd gear grind. so take it in & see what they'll do, hopefully it's not gone for a month like mine

off topic, but I installed my 3650 and its louder than the stock shifter by a lot. I heard it would be sorta loud but not like this. Is there something wrong?

Its a lot louder at first just because you are not used to it. Give it a week and you wont even notice...or get some loud exhaust!

Maybe I should count my blessings, but my 3650 shifts perfect. I power shift and everything, no grinding what so ever. Maybe since I've had my Tri-ax on since day one has done something.

I had this happen to mine as well. It started grinding like a Mo Fo one night as I was leaving the track...oops... Wouldnt grind if i babied it, but even in "normal" shifts it would.

Took it in to Ford with the Tri-Ax in place and they overhauled the tranny without a word to me about mods. It was the 3rd gear synchro by the way. Guess I got lucky!

i'm curious, is there a synchro for reverse too? cause i have been having the grind in reverse really badly and i might have to take my tri ax off and put the stocker back on to take it in
