Ok!

So i am rebuilding my trac-lock with a FMS kit.I used the same .35 shims and the 4 clutchs insted of 3 method for more grip.

But now when i try to get the big pin back, its stop by the tips of the axles.
I can see that i need a fiew tenths...

Can i grind the tips of my axels a bit,so the pin move freely there?

Do i need a minimum clearance beetween the axles and the big pin?

And yes the axles are push back in place.
And i know that i should go with smaller shims, but if i can do this without a new begining...

thks!!!

I asked about this before, and ended up grinding the ends of the axles. I havn't had the car on the road since then, but i'm not too worried. Grinding the pin will give you problems though.

I think I had about a 1/32" or bigger gap between the end of the axles and the pin.

Aslong as they don't touch the pin, then i don't see you having a problem.

You need to keep in mind that when things get warm, they'll expand. Five thousandths is not enough when cold.
